Barclay parkrun

The best laid plans… Other Dan picked Barclay parkrun so he could head off for karting afterwards. I picked a Friday night drinking in Brighton. I made the start line with a hangover just as the run briefing started. Unsure of the course, no idea which way to run, and we were off.

A delightful run around a beautiful park followed. A top tip for everyone. If you’re out of shape and sweating alcohol, try to pick a flat course at least. A picture of this pretty park could be used in a dictionary to illustrate the meaning of ‘undulating’.

I made it to join Other Dan at the finish for a quick chat before he went racing and I drove home.
