A solo jaunt through London on a Saturday morning to take in the 5 and a bit laps of Highbury Fields parkrun. Other Dan was off somewhere or other and The Son was fast asleep so that left me by myself. That’s until I bumped into fellow Eagle Robin. He was staying with a friend nearby and running Highbury Fields for the first time as well.
The course consists of multiple tarmac laps around the park until a slight deviation onto the grass at the end for the finish funnel. I’m not sure that my brain could cope with lap counting every week if this was my home venue but it did offer an opportunity to cheer on the faster runners as they lapped me.
