Hackney Marshes parkrun

Other Dan was away. Driving an ambulance in convoy to the Ukraine. Sounds like a rejected Top Gear jaunt, right? Ask him about the fun & games that they had on the way. Top Gear couldn’t make that type of stuff up if they tried.

My excursion to Hackney Marshes parkrun pales in comparison. It’s the furthest of the two remaining LonDone parkruns that Other Dan has already visited so I set off for a solo parkrun. Lots of parking at the site. Flat tarmac out and back course with a tarmac finish so it’s only the second all tarmac venue that I’ve seen.

There was a speedy bunch of club runners scorching their way at the front. I stuck to a more modest *cough* achievable * cough* pace and had a thoroughly enjoyable run.
