Janathon 2014 – Day 21: Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

by Dan

Still not well, the power of delusional thought and wondering about the weekend.

Day 2 in the ‘not well and not running’ house. I’ve read the latest running magazine from cover to cover. I’ve read through lots of Janathon blogs. I am catching up on Sherlock by watching the third series. I have also been perusing the Runners World forums to catch-up on the barking mad ‘Team GB‘ aspirations of Samir Haddad 2.

The Son has a school rugby 7s tournament on Saturday and I am working on the basis that I’ll be back running by then. I have to get him to Clapham by 8:30am, which theoretically gives me time to visit Brockwell parkrun and make it back to watch some of his matches. It’s nice to have a dream when you’re coughing & sneezing through the day.

In the afternoon I am meant to be running the Southern XC Championships at Parliament Hill. Like I said, it’s nice to have a dream.

If I am recovered then we’ll head straight to Hampstead Heath after his tournament, which is due to finish just after midday.

I did some more resistance band stuff. Janathon continues!

Janathon 2014:

  • Exercise completed today: strength work
  • Distance run today: 0 miles
  • Distance run so far: 138.36 miles
