The Son spectates, chat & run, forgetful Other Dan, the wrong bread and parkrun fresh.
The Son joined me at Gunnersbury parkrun to cheer me on this week as a spectator. I could come up with some elaborate excuse but he just did not feel like running today.
I ran and chatted with Other Dan (the emphasis being on chat) throughout the run before we all retired to the café as usual. Unfortunately Other Dan walked to the café while his bike lay by the finish area so he had to jog back while I waited for our scrambled eggs on toast to arrive. The Son was not in a good mood when they delivered brown toast by mistake instead of the white toast that he ordered.
We were due to visit my grandparents after parkrun to deliver all the Christmas presents and had the choice to go home straight after the run so that I could shower or stay for breakfast and then drive parkrun fresh to visit my grandparents. I hope that I didn’t smell too badly!
