No place like home, Baltic boy, Speedy Gonzales and the return of the egg that is scrambled.
I have not run at Gunnersbury parkrun for a few weeks and it seems an age since I ran anywhere with The Son. We returned to our spiritual parkrun home this week and braved the cold weather for our father-son run / chat around the park.
The Son wrapped himself under multiple layers of clothes, which he proceeded to slowly peel away as he warmed up approaching the 2km mark. Our plan was to run at 30 minute pace and we were on target until The Son went speeding off down the grass slope and sped up more until we crossed the finish line with a massive negative split.
The cafe called and we joined Other Dan afterwards for our traditional scrambled egg on toast.
