Finally back in the office working normal working hours. This meant a first trip to the gym this year where I planned a slow 5k on the treadmill just to keep my legs moving ready for a weekend of racing. I figured the  gym would get packed with January gym bunnies at lunchtime so I went for a sneaky early run at 11am but it turns out everyone else had the same plan. The treadmills were full of women walking so I went outside instead, which worked in my favour because I then realised that my Garmin footpod was at home and I would not have been able to record my run on the treadmill.
