Juneathon 2012 – Day 16: Karate

It’s been a few weeks but today I took The Son to karate training where we both had a good workout. I was debating whether to go to parkrun again this week but that would have excluded The Son and I thought it was a about time he practiced karate again. The class was packed this week, which means that grading must be taking place soon because people suddenly start cramming in their lessons, but we were split up into a group to cover our syllabus so I was happy. After the class there was an announcement for an upcoming karate association kata competition in July and The Son seems very interested in entering. We used to compete on a fairly regular basis, although obviously not against each other, but he started to lose interest so we stopped. It could prove interesting to get out there again and put ourselves under some pressure.
