Janathon 2012 – Day 5: I heart soft porn, kite flying, beach building, sad goodbyes, and flying to Tokyo.
Our final day in Ube and all bags packed and ready in the morning. I took the opportunity to read through the latest updates from Janathon bloggers and noticed that those presenting targeted ads were hitting me my pictures of nubile young Japanese women in their underwear. Too scared to click on any of them but left wondering how these advert systems know me so well.
No chance of a run today due to everything being packed and ready to go but I managed to fit in a kite flying session on the beach with plenty of running to get the kites airborne. Unfortunately the string snapped off the main kite and it drifted down onto the mud flat area where the tide had gone out. I tried to go and fetch it but then realised it was the type of mud that would suck my shoes and socks down into the depths so had to leave it out there. The Son found alternate fun by building some sort of structure from washed up bamboo and seaweed.
Now we head to Ube airport where we say our goodbyes and take a plane to Tokyo. One more night in Japan, at a hotel near to the airport where I plan to go swimming for the Day 6 activity, and then back to London.
